Your Voice Matters
National Poetry Month is celebrated each April and was first started in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets. This was done in an effort to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. Like in many other venues people with disabilities voices are often muffled or not heard at all. We here at Thisabled Nation want your voices heard, loud and clear. Your poetry is just as beautiful and important as that of others. Therefore, we are offering our readers an opportunity to have their poetry included on our website and in our poetry contest. We know you have what it takes to write amazing poetry!
